Hello there!
Happy New Year, creative souls! January has all but wrapped up, and at Studio Fury, we’ve hit the ground running over the past four weeks.
Our art-directed Elton John Diamonds album soared to No. 1, its first time at the top in seven years since its release. Meanwhile, the rebrand of Irish gym group NikaFit is nearly complete, setting the tone for an exciting year ahead.
But it’s not just our work we celebrate in YDU. This month’s You Drift Us showcases the bold, striking illustrations of Ana Moreno, alongside the fearless fashion photography of Emily White. Their dynamic styles command attention, reminding us why creativity is always worth the pursuit.
So, grab a warm drink, get cosy, and join us as we dive into this month’s highlights. Here’s to a year filled with inspiration!

Works of Applause
Woman at Work – Margaret Calvert
This beautifully designed, 240-page hardcover book celebrates the iconic work of Margaret Calvert, one of Britain’s most influential graphic designers. Showcasing her groundbreaking contributions to UK road signage and type design, it’s a definitive look at her career, complete with rare archival insights and detailed reproductions of her legendary typefaces. The clean layout highlights Calvert's work in all its clarity, while the special edition – featuring a red, foil-blocked slipcase – makes it a fitting tribute to her timeless, impactful design style.
Hopper & Copper Dry Gin
Hopper & Copper is a one-of-a-kind dry gin that brings together hops and botanicals for a flavor that’s both bold and unexpected. We love how the label design perfectly captures its unique character – the copper-toned lines hint at the gin’s rich depth, while the elegant typography adds sophistication. Every detail feels thoughtfully crafted, making the bottle as distinctive and inviting as the gin itself.
Carilla Karahan Posters
Carilla Karahan, a passionate poster designer based in Istanbul, collaborates with the underground club Twentynine Palms to create innovative event posters that reflect the spirit of each event. He likens his design process to a DJ mixing tracks, emphasising creative freedom and a departure from typical gig poster clichés. His work is recognised for its artistic quality, aiming to resonate with audiences beyond mere promotion.
